Hello
Last year I was caught shoplifting in H&M, I was student. The security didn't call the police and I already paid 181 euros to SODA. I already regret a lot about this situation and whenever I think about it I feel very ashamed and sorry. and I have never done anything like that later.
Now I have been applying for jobs here and I worry a lot that this will come up from somewhere. Is there anything possible that employers can find about it?
I am getting very anxious thinking about it and I do not know where to find out. and I would be grateful if anyone can help me about it.

Since no judge and not even the police was involved there is no need to worry as there is no public record of it. You can even get a police clearance. Just don't apply with H&M.

Or any other shop from a possible holding/other branding in which H&M is involved. If any. They might know about you.
If you got a shopping ban (winkelverbod) from the security officer there will be written which shops/brands are involved.

Re: Shoplifting- I need help
The terms and conditions of SODA require that the participant (shopowner) mandates SODA to report the crime to the police (article 163 subsection 1 WvSv) or what is commonly known as "Aangifte" in dutch. Also the police encourages shopowners to notify the police of entry bans. You paying SODA 181 euro's is in regard to the civil liability for wrongful acts and their associated costs of dealing with you. Whether they actually reported you for any of this is an unknown.
However, only convictions whether by court or by you agreeing to paying a fine to the government will show up on you "criminal record" (also pending cases and most dismissals by the ministry of justice). So when applying for most jobs that require a VOG (certificate of conduct) you are safe, there are exceptions that will review all police registrations, even without any conviction or fine such as when you want to become a "special police officer" or BOA in dutch. This is called the VOG P and this incident might show up. Of course any job that requires an actual governmental security clearance (such as police officer/military/intelligence agency ect.) might find out as well.
Furthermore, most jobs don't even ask for a VOG/Certificate of Conduct and I highly doubt that working for an Albert Heijn will require one, unless you deal with semi large amounts of money such as being a manager. As far as I can see in their privacy policy SODA is not allowed to share your data with other customers, meaning that they are, under dutch privacy law (AVG/GDPR), not allowed to share your H&M shoplifting data with a non H&M entity as that would entail them creating a so called "blacklist" for which they have no permission from the data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). There might be a covenant with local shops that a ban for one shop applies to multiple shops which will need to be listed on the paper copy of your ban but this seems unlikely in your scenario.
To sum up: As long as you don't apply to security sensitive government jobs and don't apply to any H&M related companies you are fine. However, before you look into new jobs: think hard about why you did this. I was a poor student as well at some place in time but I never stole stuff. You got off pretty good this time but the next time might be different, how are you going to deal with financial setbacks that do not involve stealing?
